Porsche 718 Spyder RS Engine Specifications

As the most powerful Boxster model in the thirty years since its debut, the Porsche 718 Spyder RS will feature the same high-revving, naturally aspirated engine as the 911 GT3. This mid-engined roadster is an open-top counterpart to the 718 Cayman GT4 RS. What does this mean for New Rochelle and Stamford drivers? It means the six-cylinder 4L engine can rev up to 9,000 rpm while generating 450 Newton metres of torque. A short-ratio seven-speed PDK transmission boosts this two-seater to 100 km/hr in a stunning 3.4 seconds, making it a half-second faster than the 718 Spyder without the RS specification. Its top speed is 308 km/hr, partially thanks to being an incredibly lightweight 1,410 kilograms. Porsche Active Suspension Management and Porsche Torque Vectoring with mechanical slip differential combine to create an exhilarating curve-hugging ride.

While the Porsche 718 Spyder RS is built for power, it’s also designed for the joy of driving. This two-seat roadster features a manually-operated single-layer soft top and a weather deflector. The interior also features lightweight bucket seats with carbon-weave finish and genuine leather upholstery surrounding a color-contrasting Race-Tex seat center.
